The 2019 Volvo XC90 is an impressive luxury SUV thanks to sharp styling and cutting-edge technology. A major competitor in the luxury SUV segment, the XC90 starts at $47,700 MSRP and runs on a standard 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The XC90 comes standard with front-wheel drive, though all-wheel drive is optional. The higher trimmed XC90 T8 has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that pairs an electric motor with a twin-charged engine to deliver a combined 400 hp. Inside, seven passengers can ride around Schaumburg comfortably. There's also 85.7 cubic feet of storage space for all your musical or sports equipment, adventure gear, or groceries. With its stunning interior and confident handling, we think this SUV is a smart investment and fun vehicle to drive, but do the critics agree?

This Volvo XC90 review says that " [t]he 2019 Volvo XC90 is a three-row luxury with broad appeal. At base trim levels, it's full of high-tech safety features and luxurious cabin materials, and it even starts at a reasonable price." There you get "the turbocharged-and-supercharged engine 2.0-liter engine... leather upholstery, and a larger display screen for the driver" for serious luxury and exciting driving experience as you cruise through town.
Motor Trend
Motor Trend notes that "Volvo has long been known for exceptionally comfortable front seats that offer a great deal of support," and this review of the previous model looks specifically at the Excellence trim, saying that the "XC90 Excellence adds this comfort to the second row, with two seats separated by a center console ... but which sacrifices almost no functionality" and that the rear seats "are heated, cooled, and offer a number of massage programs as well as adjustable lumbar support, side bolsters, and thigh support."
