Chinese business executives, more than anywhere else, prefer chauffeured driving for their choice of travel. It's no surprise then that Volvo unveiled its supremely luxurious Volvo XC90 Excellence edition with Lounge concept at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Excellence will be the top-tier XC90 model. It distinguishes itself as a high luxury vehicle with a unique 2-and-2 seating arrangement. Rather than plebeian bench seats for the second row, Excellence features two airline style comfort seats. Rumor has it, these seats come with a built in massaging feature.
The luxury doesn't end there, though. With an XC90 Excellence, you'll be treated with an in-console refrigerator, chilled/heated cup holder, and matching handmade crystal glasses, as well as entertainment screens for an "in-flight movie."
The Lounge Console is a concept that may or may not go into production, but it takes things a step farther. Removing the front passenger seat entirely gives the rear passenger room to stretch out and relax. The footrest has a compartment for keeping spare shoes, and other accessories. It also features an enormous 17" screen.
