Gold Class I-CAR Certified
Our technicians are Gold Class I-CAR Certified. Gold Class certification means that the Patrick Auto Body Shop and Collision Centers have met the industry standard for training that allows for complete and safe Volvo repairs. Our shop is among only 10% of collision repair shops to meet this standard. This certification also requires us to train each of our repair technicians every year, and to have in-house experts in each repair specialty needed for quality repairs.
Aluminum-Certification
In addition, our shops are some of the few in the state of Illinois to be certified in aluminum work which is key for a brand such as Volvo. Schaumburg Collision Center Collision Manager Tim Odachowski explained that aluminum is a delicate material, and our technicians have the training to restore the metal to pre-loss condition.
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified
In addition to being Gold Class certified, our team is National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified. ASE certification promotes excellence in automotive repair and service by making sure that all automotive technicians pass an ASE certification test. Technicians are required to have at least two years of on the job training or one year of on the job training and a two-year degree in automotive repair to earn certification. Only two out of every three test-takers pass the ASE certification test on their first attempt; technicians are also required to take the test every five years to keep up with ever advancing automotive technology.
